I was found as a homeless stray in the Valley of South Texas. A very nice lady saw that I was terrified, lonely, and starving, so she brought me to her home and fed me some delicious food and gave me fresh water. I couldn’t remember the last time I had ever had either one of those. She contacted VDR and they stepped in to help. I had to take this yucky dewormer (I didn’t like it, but I took it because the nice lady told me it was going to help me), I got shots, more medicine (preventatives) (but those tasted yummy). I got my very first bath and eventually got neutered (that was seriously not my favorite day). Before I knew it, it was time for me to move on to the next part of my rescue journey, my foster home, which is where I’ve been living for the past several months.

This intelligent and adaptable pup has already mastered: Housebreaking, walking well on a leash, responding to essential commands such as come, sit, down, and stay. He is recognizing fun vocabularies like, “Cheese”, “Eat”,” and “In Bed”. Blu’s personality shines with: Good behavior while roaming the house, a calm and gentle demeanor, a love for playtime, a desire to stay close to his people, and he is very loyal. He’s ready to bring joy and companionship to his new family!

My foster home and foster parents have been so AMAZING! They are so nice to me and give me all the love and attention I want. They also take me on 2-mile walks four times a week and I LOVE it! So, you will have to do that! I am easygoing and like other dogs and kids, but I don’t have to have them. I would get along just fine as the only spoiled guy at home. I just want to find humans that will love me, take me home, and keep me forever. If that’s you, then please send in an adoption application.
